Specifications for the EL/C Kompakt Electric Mobile Storage System
The Kompakt electric mobile storage system is built to last using durable construction design and materials, no short cuts and “value engineered" short cuts which can come back and cost you more in upgrades and repair.
Some examples to compare when looking at mobile storage systems:
- Double-Flanged guidance system with true 5" wheels on both sides of the carriage, which allows the carriages to move easier. All Double Flanged Wheels are guide wheels.
- Self-Aligning Ball Bearing Pillow Blocks, allowing for less friction resulting in less wear and tear on the wheel shafts and drive train.
- Driven wheels on all tracks, & a full-length drive shaft, which reduces twisting/racking.
- 100% Recyclable 11 Gauge Carriage for longer life and provides for greater flexibility for heavier future load requirements. Other manufacturers use thinner 12-gauge steel or aluminum.
- 100% Recyclable18 Gauge Steel End Frames for their fire resistance & structural integrity. Other manufacturers use laminated particleboard end panels, which are not structurally supportive and may have inherent off gassing issues that are not environmentally friendly.
- Rail systems all utilize 1" x 1" square C-1045 steel bar stock. Other manufacturers use inferior 5/8" wide bar stock, which requires grouting for support. Kardex rails are self-supportive and do not require grouting which tends to crack, crumble, and deteriorate which can result in leveling integrity.
- Rail systems may be re-leveled in the event of subsidence without tearing out grout.
- The system is equipped with digital security to control individual aisles or the complete module for restriction of access, if needed. Fully programmable unit requires no additional upgrades.
- Patented infinite aisle and carriage gap control feature to allow greater flexibility when the media stored is oversized.
- RDS, Resistance Detection System detects abnormal resistance to movement when pressure is applied to any part of a movable carriage, panel, or shelving. When this detection occurs, the carriage immediately stops as if a safety system has been activated. This is in addition to the safeties specified.
- Totally U.L. Listed, not just the components.
