Metro Top Track
Top track systems are a unique concept to the idea of high density movable storage systems. With standard movable shelving tracks are placed upon the finished floor and carriages are then placed upon these tracks with shelving mounted to the carriages. Metro took the idea and relocated the tracks to the tops of the shelving units. This provides a number of advantages there is no need for an elevated platform between tracks. Tracks do not require normal cleaning as they are not subject to dirt and debris as a ground mounted track would. Due to less mechanical parts operation is quite simple and it is a very cost effective way to recover valuable floor space by 30% - 40%.
